We offer a range of career opportunities dependent on the needs and aspirations of individuals.
You can choose to join us through exploring one of the following career options.
Graduate Development Programme – Astrium UK
Our two-year programme designed to support graduates with less than two years’ post-graduate professional work experience. Its purpose is to provide a framework to guide and support you through the first stage of your career development.
Join us as a graduate on this scheme and you will gain a comprehensive understanding of what we do and how we do it while working on a real project within the business, you may join as a graduate but you will be are doing a real job from day one. During this time you will also receive a wide range of training and development to build your personal and management skills and equip you for your future career with Astrium. You will be based mainly in Portsmouth or Stevenage.

Direct Entry Graduate scheme (DEG) or Graduate Development Programme Graduate (GDP)
The only difference between the types of graduate role you will join as are is a DEG will join a business area and will stay within that area for the two years of the scheme with a possible rotation outside your assigned the business area. Benefits to being a DEG is you will get to see projects from start to finish and you will build up your technical skill set, and if you get to rotate you will be exposed to the wider Astrium.
If you join as a GDP graduate you will get the chance to rotate around the business every six months, your manager will guide you on your career path around the business. You will get the chance to work across the UK and possibly to one of our sites in France, Germany or Spain.
